Flew to Boston with Hadar back in October to see some of her friends, as well as Nathaniel, in Cambridge. I had stupidly missed my flight, so I had to arrive half a day late and miss half of a concert by the Boston Symphony Orchestra. The orchestra was incidentally conducted by Ken-David Masur, under whom I sang Beethoven's 9th Symphony earlier in April at Zellerbach Hall.

One of the days, we visited Salem, the town that conducted the infamous witch trials in the 17th century. The atmosphere was especially fitting under all the Halloween decorations. The most unexpected place was a Southern Chinese-style house called Yin Yu Tang, which was built in the 18th century and moved piece-by-piece to be displayed in Salem.

On a different day, guided by Nathaniel, Hadar and I toured the MIT campus. Next, we went on a rather confused walk around Boston, ending with a cosy ferry ride to a restaurant across the bay.
